I teach yoga as a lived path for navigating and integrating life, and as a doorway to expanded awareness
I share this work through classes, workshops, writing, personal guidance, and the facilitation of circles and ritual spaces—both independently and in collaboration with my partner, Bill. My approach is grounded in steady practice and the quiet unfolding of awareness over time—supporting a more compassionate, kind, and easeful way of moving through the world.
Yoga has been a part of my life for over two decades, shaping how I grow, adapt, and meet both challenge and change. I began practicing in 1999 as a complement to an active, fitness-focused lifestyle, and over time it opened into a much deeper path of embodiment, self-study, and conscious living.
Alongside my work in yoga, I’ve spent many years studying and engaging with nature-based traditions, ritual, and ceremony. I am drawn to spaces that invite reflection, connection, and healing—where practice becomes something we live and feel together.
In 2017, I founded Yoga Garden Pittsboro with support from my teacher Dharma Richards. Yoga Garden grew into a beloved community space for practice, healing, and connection. For nearly a decade, I guided classes, circles, and workshops while also curating offerings from other teachers and tending a space rooted in care, presence, and shared growth.
Before focusing fully on yoga, I spent ten years in marketing and public relations, followed by seven years in public health across government and nonprofit sectors. That experience continues to inform the way I support others—especially those building meaningful, community-centered work—with a balance of vision and practicality.
My formal yoga training began in 2018 through 200 and 300-hour programs with Dharma Richards in Classical Hatha Yoga. In recent years, my practice has been deeply influenced by advanced study with Sattva Yoga Academy under Anand Mehrotra. I completed both a 300-hour training and Master Level Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India, where I was immersed in the teachings of Himalayan Kriya Yoga, meditation, yoga philosophy, Vedic ritual, and subtle practices that continue to shape my teaching.
I work with individuals and groups who feel called to begin or deepen their relationship to practice—offering guidance that supports inner growth, integration, and the steady evolution of a personal path.
Current Group Offerings
My group yoga classes are a loving invitation into embodied presence.
You’ll usually find the following ingredients in my classes: pranayama (breathwork), slow flows and deep stretches, invitations to moments of mindfulness and focus, sprinklings of yoga philosophy, chi gong and other meditative movements. Playlists are curated to support the mood of the class.
It’s important to me that my classes are safe and accessible and I offer options and props to help make the poses more comfortable and supportive for different bodies.
Unless the class is geared towards beginners, my central focus isn’t really on alignment and the shapes we are making. I don’t normally offer extensive technical cues about anatomy and body position.
My classes are less about “doing” yoga, and more about experiencing it—calming the nervous system, releasing tension, opening the heart, and creating space for something deeper to emerge.
Personal Guidance
I offer personal guidance in yoga, meditation, and embodied practice for individuals who want to explore their path with greater clarity and intention.
Our work together may include private yoga sessions, breath and meditation practices, reflective dialogue, and practical exploration of how insights from practice can be integrated into daily life. Some people come seeking deeper engagement with yoga and meditation; others are navigating transitions, creative projects, or questions about how to live and contribute more intentionally.
Each engagement is collaborative and tailored to the individual, drawing from the wisdom of yoga traditions while remaining grounded in the realities of modern life.

“I feel full permission to be authentically present with myself and be curious during Lexie's classes. When she says her teachings are an offering I can tell that she really means that. And so I get to take them in whatever way works best for me in that moment. It's a very process- and embodiment-oriented experience that is also a lot of fun.”
